Introduction
TickTrac is a personal time-tracking application. This statement describes what data we collect when you use TickTrac, why we collect it, and how it is protected. We collect only what is needed to run the service — nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign up we store your email address and a hashed version of your password (argon2). Your password is never stored in plain text.
Time-tracking data
We store the time entries you record, along with the categories and tags you create to organise them. This data is private to your account and is not shared with other users.
Analytics
On the public site we use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-1WBDL9KCY3) to understand how visitors interact with the pages. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and browser type. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. When analytics is active, Google Analytics sets its own cookies. No advertising cookies are used.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on our server and protected with industry-standard measures, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all connections
- Argon2 password hashing
- Session-based authentication with secure cookies
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. The only external service that receives data is Google Analytics, and only anonymised usage statistics from the public site.
Your rights
You can:
- Access all your stored data through the TickTrac interface
- Edit or delete any time entry, category, or tag at any time
- Change your password in Settings
- Request complete account deletion by contacting me@kristoffbertram.be
Changes
We may update this statement from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
